30% is used to support the 93 retired priests of Melbourne, 5 Melbourne bishops, 2 retired bishops and priests in poor parishes. The remainder is used to provide a lease car for the priest of the parish, running expenses of the presbytery, medical insurance and the living allowance to the priest.
