(1887-1957) the first nun-doctor missionary:  Mary grew up in the Mallee and graduated in medicine in Melbourne in 1910. After working at St Vincent’s and the Eye and Ear Hospitals, she went to India in 1920 and spent the rest of her life there, founding one of the largest non-government health care providers in the world. The process for her Beatification will commence in Melbourne next Tuesday.
