On this Tuesday at 7.30pm there will be celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation for all candidates. Several priests will be present. Hence, Tuesday Mass is at 6.30pm.
Over three evenings students from our parish celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Congratulations to them, their parents, teachers and catechists for leading the children into a very prayerful and joyful celebration of God’s forgiveness. Our Thanks also to Fr Tom Cleary, Fr Bert Fulbrook and Fr Joe Binh and Fr Peter Monaghan for assisting over the three nights.
The celebration of First Reconciliation began last Thursday evening and will continue this Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Please remember these children in your prayers as they meet the forgiving Lord in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Lord God,
you created the human race
and are the author of its renewal.
Bless all your adopted children
and add these chosen ones
to the harvest of your new covenant.
As true children of the promise,
may they rejoice in eternal life,
won, not by the power of nature,
but through the mystery of your grace.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
As part of their preparation for Reconciliation and First Communion, children and parents attend two home group meetings. A considerable number of families participating in the program have offered to host and lead these meetings but we are still a few homes short. If you are willing to have five children, plus 1 parent each, at your home for an hour on one evening between Monday 20 and Thursday 23 June it would be a great help, and a great sign of care and hospitality towards the families who visit you. If you are able to help, please call the Parish Office 9744 1060 or e-mail richard.hallett@cam.org.au before midday next Tuesday 14 June.
Lord, we thank you for your unconditional love which we celebrate in the Eucharist.
During this time of preparation, enable these children to discover more and more the gift of your love for them in the Eucharist.
Draw them and all of your family ever closer to you and to each other as we meet around your table.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen

There have been three sessions for 121 of our children as they were introduced into celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The children were happy and relaxed. Many grandparents were present. Congratulations to the children, their parents and their teachers. Thanks to Fr Michael McShane SJ, Fr Bert and Fr Kevin.
Parents and Guardians of children preparing for Confirmation are reminded of the Parenting in Faith meeting for parents and guardians only, with Bishop Tim Costelloe, on Tuesday next 31 August at 7.30pm.
So that we can make arrangements for stoles, Mass booklets and seating arrangements, it is ESSENTIAL that all enrolment forms for Confirmation in October this year MUST be returned to the Parish Office by Thursday next, 2 September.
We will not be able to accept enrolments after this date.
Lord, you have filled these young people
with the desire to become full members of our Catholic community.
As they grow in faith, give them wisdom and insight,
respond to their hopes,
deepen their love for you and for one another
and strengthen us as a community
so that we can provide an environment
in which they can always feel welcome
and in which their gifts will be honoured and treasured.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen

First Reconciliation continues on Tuesday and Thursday this week, when children celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Please keep these children in your prayers as they begin to experience the mercy and love of God in the Sacrament.
On this Thursday evening and Tuesday and Thursday of next week, children will begin to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Please keep these children in your prayers as they begin to experience the mercy and love of God in the Sacrament.
God of love and forgiveness, bless these children as they prepare to begin celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Help them, and help all of us, to be more aware of the effects of the choices we make and to always seek forgiveness when our choices and actions hurt others.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Amen
Information and Registration sessions for preparation to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation this year will be held at the Parish Centre next Tuesday, 10 August at 2.00pm and again at 7.30pm.
Parents or guardians of all children who wish to prepare for this Sacrament are requested to attend.
If you are unable to attend either session please contact the Parish Office—9744 1060.
Loving God, you have filled these children with the desire to be people of loving kindness and reconciliation, and to be nourished in the Eucharist. May they even deepen their awareness of your love for them and may they grow ever closer to your Son, Jesus, in their families and in our community.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
