Our children’s First Eucharist will be celebrated in our parish over the weekends of 9, 16 & 23 August at the 6.00pm, 10.30am and 5.30pm Masses. Please be aware of the increased numbers expected at these Masses.
FIRST COMMUNION—CAN YOU HELP?
In order to enable families to complete their preparations for First Communion, we will be holding practice sessions between 7.00pm and 8.30pm at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church on Wed 5 August and at St Anne’s Church on Tuesdays 4, 11 and 18 August.
We need three Ministers of Communion for each session and a number of parishioners to act as ushers at the practice and at the First Communion Masses during August.
If you can help please leave your name on the form at the Welcome Desk at St Anne’s Church and at back of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church.
Active involvement of other members of our community in these celebrations is a great source of inspiration to the children and their families.
CONFIRMATION 2009
Parents or guardians of children who wish to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation this year, are requested to attend an Information & Registration session on TUE 28 JULY in the Parish Centre at either 2.00pm or 7.30pm.
The meeting will last less than an hour and enrolment forms and program details will be provided.
Children need not attend.
FIRST RECONCILIATION 2009
Information and registration sessions for PARENTS of all children planning to celebrate their first Reconciliation in 2009 will be held at the Parish Centre (near St Anne’s Church) on Tue 14 November at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
You are invited to attend either meeting. The meetings will provide you with details of the 2009 Reconciliation Program and the involvement required of candidates and parents. First Reconciliation is usually celebrated by children in Year 3, followed by First Communion in Year 4 and Confirmation in Year 6.
It is important that parents of all 2009 First Reconciliation candidates attend this meeting as registration forms will be distributed on the night.

PRAYER FOR CHILDREN PREPARING FOR FIRST COMMUNION
Lord, we thank you for your unconditional love which we celebrate in the Eucharist.
During this time of preparation, enable these children to discover more and more the gift of your love for them in the Eucharist.
Draw them and all of your family ever closer to you and to each other as we meet around your table.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

Information and registration meeting for parents of children –just the parents– who will be celebrating their first Communion in August this year at the Parish Centre this coming Tuesday 28 April at 730pm. If you have not yet received an invitation letter and enrolment form in the mail please call the Parish Office on Monday or Tuesday (9744 1060) and leave your name and address and your child’s name so that we can have the necessary information ready for you when you come—you are very welcome. i you have received a letter iust come along—you do not need to ring.
