Saint Thomas Parish in Greensbourgh North,  have dedicated a building in Fr Kevins  honour last Thursday, as part of their parish Feast Day, for his 19 years of dedicated service .

Christmas in July Dinner Dance will be held on Saturday 27 July in St Anne’s Parish Centre from 7.15pm to 11.30pm.
Cost is $15 for adults and $8 for children 5-12 years old.
Children under 5 years old are free.
Dinner and drinks will be sold at the venue.
Dance the night away to The Megabites and solo artist Maurice Saunders.
Bingo, dance competitions, spot prizes and lots more on the night.
All proceeds will go to the OLMC Youth attending the Australian Catholic Youth Festival in December 2013.

Last week two consultations were held in Sunbury where the residents have been born in 87 countries including Australia. 19.8% are born overseas. The top six overseas countries of birth are in order: England, New Zealand, Italy, Scotland, India and Malta (ABS Census 2011)

On Saturday 29 June 2013 from 6.30pm to 10.00pm in the Parish Centre, 101 Riddell Rd Sunbury, our youth will be holding a disco to raise funds for the OLMC Youth Group to attend the National Youth Festival in December 2013.
Tickets cost $15 per person including dinner. Hot food  and drinks can be purchased on the night . Contact Angelo on 0458 502 232 or Jo at the Parish office on 9774 1060 for tickets.
For the Juniors, you are also welcome to join in the fun from 4pm to 6pm with dinner included. Cost for juniors is $10.

On Wednesday 19 June, 37 ladies and gentlemen gathered in the Parish Centre for high tea, a fashion parade and a raffle where everyone won! We had a lot of smiling faces and laughs which was fantastic to see. The food was catered for by a local family called Essence Food Co. and the fashion show was by Postie who will donate 10% of the sales to St Vincent de Paul. Thank you to the ladies who modeled for us, Monica Rintoull, Gail Ryan and Tamara Moir. Lots of fun for all. Due to the encouraging feedback, another high tea will be arranged for later this year. Thanks to the organizer Joanne Spiteri.

Year of Faith started on October 11 2012. On behalf of the Legion of Mary, this month we pray for the following: For those couples in need of strength and vitality in committing their lives to one another.

A very small section of flooring at the western end has been attacked by termites. A recent inspection under the flooring from the back wall to the front has found no live termites. Further chemical treatment has been carried out costing $1950.00.

Consultation with residents of Sunbury will be held next Tuesday for one hour at
2pm and 6.30pm at the Sunbury Community Health Centre.

Federal Member for Calwell Maria Vamvakinou and Breast Screen Victoria invite you to a free breast health Information session on Thursday 13 June from 10.30am to noon at Maria Vamvakinou’s Office, 6/1100 Pascoe Vale Rd, Broadmeadows.

The Inquiry held its last two public hearings on 20 and 27 May, with Archbishop Hart and Cardinal Pell respectively. Each of the Church leaders emphasised the terrible long-term damage done to victims and their families, and the measures they had taken to support them. They renewed their apologies to them. Last week workers in a boom crane replaced missing slates on the roof and repaired the flashing at the very top. Electricians came another day and installed low-energy external lights which are movement sensitive. The cost of these works is $2300.00.

 The Christian denominations each May collect data on the numbers of Australians who take part in Sunday worship. Our collectors will be counting us at each of the May Masses.

In honour of Our Lady of all Nations for the Holy Church and Priests, the Rosary will be prayed on Friday 31 May at St Anne’s Church, after 9.15am Mass.

All welcome to the inauguration of the shrine of Mary Help of Christians at Ta’ Pinu Marian Centre, 15 Flanagans Dr, Bacchus Marsh on Sunday 26 may at 3.00pm.

A working bee will be held at St Anne’s Church on next Saturday 1 June from 9am to Noon.
