PROGRESS REPORT ON WORKS AT OUR SCHOOLS

  • On Thursday 128.2 cubic metres of concrete made in Sunbury was laid for the ground floor of O.L.M.C. School. They worked a 14-hour day.
  • The next storey will be laid next month.
  • The new lift has been purchased.
  • At St Anne’s, the plasterers are about to begin. Both projects are moving quickly.

FIRST RECONCILIATION & FIRST COMMUNION

The Information and Registration session for parents who wish to have their children celebrate First Reconciliation this year and First Communion in 2011 will be held in the Parish Centre on Tuesday 8 June at 7.30pm.
If you wish to be involved in the preparation program it is very important that you attend this meeting as the program will be explained and enrolment forms distributed.

We are looking to set up a ‘Friendship’ program at St Anne’s School for the children who would benefit from having a special friend or mentor. Mums, dads, grandparents or relatives if you are interested, have good listening skills, the ability to relate to young people, understand the importance of confidentiality and have some free time to offer during school hours, please complete the Expression of Interest form at Welcoming Desk and return it to the school office. FR KEVIN’S 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF ORDINATION TO THE PRIESTHOOD

  • Join us on Sunday 23 May to celebrate this special occasion commencing with 10.30am Mass in St Anne’s Church followed by morning tea in the foyer—please bring a plate
  • St Anne’s School celebrates with Fr Kevin. On his 40th anniversary, the school will celebrate Mass with Fr Kevin on Wednesday at 10.00am. All welcome.

OUR CENTENARY YEAR

MARY MACKILLOP TRAIL

A four-day pilgrimage (Fri to Mon) to Hamilton, Portland and Penola visiting the various places connected with the story of Blessed Mary MacKillop is being organised for 10-13 September 2010. Travel will be by coach from Bacchus Marsh (pick up at Ballan) with motel accommodation. Some meals will be provided with a day in Penola to visit museums and sites. Cost will be approx. $500 twin share depending on the number applying, with single room supplement $120. SEMINARY OPEN DAY

Open Day at Corpus Christi College, Drummond St. Carlton on Saturday 5 June from 9.00am to 1.00pm—parishioners and friends are welcome.
