PARISH SACRAMENTAL PROGRAMS

PARISH INFANT BAPTISM

Our parish treasures our baptismal families and look forward to celebrating with you. We are aware of the demands of young children and have provided as much information as possible so that you are able to prepare for your baby’s Baptism without the need to visit the parish office too often.
Much of the administration is able to be completed by booking through the Trybooking link below.

You are expected to book and attend one Preparation Meeting, held monthly, at which you are given information about the sacrament and what will happen at the Baptism. There is a donation of $100 and a small booking fee required to cover all costs. At the preparation meeting you will be given an information envelope, the candle and stole.
At this preparation meeting you will be able to book and confirm your Baby’s Baptism date as well as a date just prior to the Baptism when we ask you to come along to any of the Parish Masses to celebrate a Welcoming Rite. Your Baby’s Sponsors are welcome to attend too.
Sponsor or Sponsors you choose are those who would support you in your child’s faith development and maturity, those who appreciate the privilege and responsibility of being chosen as a Sponsor. Sponsors are a baptised Catholic, one male, one female and over the age of 16yrs.

You are very welcome to call or come into the parish office during the hours of 9am to 1pm Monday to Thursday and 9am – 5pm Friday.
We look forward to meeting you, your little one and family.

PARISH SCHOOL AGE CHILDRENS’ SACRAMENTS

Children who have not completed their sacraments are able to do so through our catholic schools. If your child attends one of the local government schools, our parish has an out of school catechist program, OSPREY (Other Schools Preparation of Religious Education) which prepares children to celebrate their sacraments. A donation will be required when you book for the sacrament preparation which will assist in employing a catholic primary school teacher. The program will require the commitment of both the child and family as faith always is nurtured firstly through family relationships.
This year (2023) the office has introduced the system of Trybooking to simplify the booking and improve the communication of the program.

Inquirers are welcome to call the parish office for further information.
